Job Description
We are seeking Family Nurse Practitioners to join our teams across the US. A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who provides comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families across the lifespan. FNPs are qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans. They work in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and perform diagnostic evaluations to identify and assess health concerns
  • Formulate diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and provide appropriate interventions for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including but not limited to respiratory infections, diabetes, hypertension, and mental health issues
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, considering potential interactions, side effects, and patient-specific factors
  • Promote health and wellness through patient education, counseling, and preventive screenings, such as immunizations, cancer screenings, and routine check-ups
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
  • Provide patients and their families with education on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to promote better health outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices, treatment guidelines, and healthcare policies

Clearance
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited nursing program with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner studies
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Board certification from a nationally recognized certifying body, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP)
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and patient education abilities, with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex medical situations and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices, treatment guidelines, and healthcare policies
